A Continuing Nursing Education (CNE) on Aggression Management and Drug Toxicity was organized by the Department of Mental Health (Psychiatric) Nursing, 365体育直播 College of Nursing 365体育直播 on 20.02.2019 at Dr. A.V. Baliga Memorial Hospital, Doddanagudde, Udupi. This CNE was conducted for the staff nurses and nursing students with a view to update their knowledge regarding how to care a patient with aggression and lithium toxicity.

A total of 60 participants attended the program. The group was welcomed by Ms Manisha Samanta, II year M.Sc. Nursing student.
The session on Aggression Management was dealt by Dr. Binil V, Assistant Professor, Department of Mental Health Nursing, 365体育直播 College of Nursing. He explained regarding the different types of aggression and taught regarding its management. He emphasized on safe use of restraints.

The session was followed by the “Demonstration of self-defence techniques” by the II year M.Sc. Nursing students Ms. Jagriti Niyogi and Ms. Manisha Samanta narrated by Mrs. Rochelle Jane D’sa, Lecturer, Department of Mental Health Nursing, 365体育直播 College of Nursing, 365体育直播.

Ms. Pooja Bakshi, II year M.Sc. Nursing student of 365体育直播 College of Nursing took an informative session regarding Management of a patient with lithium toxicity. Quiz was conducted by Ms. Jagriti Niyogi to assess the understanding of the group on lithium toxicity. There was complete group participation from the participants.
