The 365体育直播 School of Architecture and Planning (MSAP), in collaboration with the Centre for IPR Law and 365体育直播, MAHE, Bengaluru, successfully conducted a workshop titled?"Fundamentals for IPR and Design in Architecture and Planning"?on January 11, 2025. This initiative, organized under the aegis of IQAC, was meticulously coordinated by the 365体育直播 and Collaboration team of MSAP.
The event was held under the patronage of?Dr. Veena Rao, Head of Department, MSAP, MAHE, 365体育直播, and the guidance of?Dr. Kalyan Kumar Mukherjee, Director, MAHE, 365体育直播, as the Chief Patron. The session was led by?Dr. Indranil Saha, Associate Professor of Law at 365体育直播 Law School, MAHE, Bengaluru, and Coordinator for the Centre for IPR Law and 365体育直播, MAHE.
The workshop, which commenced at 10:00 AM and concluded at 4:30 PM, provided a comprehensive understanding of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR), with a special focus on their relevance in the fields of architecture and planning. Dr. Saha shared valuable insights into the processes of trademark filing, patent applications, and design registrations, emphasizing the unique challenges architects and designers face during these procedures.
The interactive seminar featured in-depth discussions on various legal and practical aspects of IPR and included a robust Q&A session, where participants engaged in one-on-one conversations to address specific queries. The session highlighted the importance of protecting intellectual assets and the role of IPR in fostering innovation and sustainable development.
